Trip to Daman

One day trip from Mumbai to Daman to Mumbai 

 

Date of trip: 10-07-2021

Daman is a small place nearby mumbai (approx 160 km from powai area)

It is divided into two parts wiz. Nani Daman (old) and Moti Daman (New)

It has few ancient forts , churches

It has two main beaches (jampore and devka) and there are few water sports also present

Water in sea is black and mostly dirty due to industries nearby

There are many resorts also , which offers stay and various activities inside them.

 

Total distance covered : 370 KM

Note: 

1. Lot of diversions due to Mumbai metro work and potholes on road due to rains

2. In daman also , construction and renovation work was going on around beaches, they are developing sabarmati riverfront like structures on beaches

Schedule:

5:00 AM depart from Powai , Mumbai

7:30 AM stop for breakfast

9:00 AM Reached Daman

4:00 PM leave Daman

8:00 PM Reached Powai

 Comments:

Daman is a good place for 1 day or 2 day outing. Although there are very few things to do , so time can be enjoyed with family and friends. 

Light house and Jetty garden is really good , it is very relaxing to sit there and enjoy the breeze and sea
